Project 365: Day 5: 22nd June 2011 – Prom

Prom

Woke up very late today, gone midday (I can’t remember exactly when). Was totally exhausted, and felt pretty rough. Was unsure whether to go to the prom today, but after much dithering decided to go. Got ready, then we left.

The Prom was brilliant 😀 There were most of the Interface students, both current and past. It was nice seeing some of the old students again 🙂 It was quite loud, but alcohol works brilliantly for pain, anxiety and copingness, so I managed okay. Even danced a small bit in my wheelchair 🙂

I had a great time, and I think other people did too. Got home just before midnight, and have been looking at motability cars since 😛

Project 365: Day 4: 21st June 2011 – Weather Station

Weather Station

Woke up this morning just before the carer arrived, which is a first for a bit 😛 My digestive system was a bit more cooperative today, and I was feeling a bit better than I was.

This morning we messed around with hooking my computer to the telly, then decided that playing WoW on it won’t really work because it’s a bit far away from where I’m lying in bed. I tidied up around my bed and a tiny bit around my computer desk, then was knackered so rested in bed for a while. Later on I felt more up to sitting up, so played on World of Warcraft and The Sims for a bit.

Post today was a Graze box (yummy) and my birthday present from Johan, which is this weather station. It’s hard to take a photo of it, because it’s really reflective, but it’s really shiny and colourful and iPhoneish 😀

Project 365: Day 3: 20th June 2011 – Penguins and an invading Murloc

Penguins and an Invading Murloc

Today was not that great, as I’ve been feeling really rotten all day and my digestive system hates me. I may have some form of infection, so I’m going to keep an eye on it and see what happens. I’ve been experiencing chest pains for over 24 hours now, and my heart beat keeps messing up. I’m not sure if they’re related, but I’m keeping an eye on that as well. I tried taking beta blockers but they didn’t really help.

I’ve also avoided talking to people today- it’s just too much when I’m feeling like this.

Project 365: Day 2: 19th June 2011 – New Television

New Television

Yesterday my DLA back payment went into my account, so I decided to buy the new television that I’d been wanting for a year. It has a network connection, so I can use iPlayer, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook on it, as well as play music and videos from my computers and maybe my mobile.

Today I spent a lot of time in bed, watching films on it. I was trying at this point to decide whether to watch something on iPlayer or not (I ended up not).

Otherwise today, I was still asleep when the carer came this morning, but she did bring me my first birthday card, which was lovely 🙂 The evening carer was meant to help me have a bath, but she arrived 10 minutes early and I panicked, so Johan asked her to leave. He later helped me have a bath, and we spent a long time chatting about stuff while I turned into a prune 🙂
