Project 365: Day 19: 6th July 2011 – Rockhopper

Rockhopper

I went to sleep about 7am this morning, so didn’t get up until about 5pm (I don’t have a morning carer on a Wednesday so this was okay). Felt really weird and not with it, so stayed in bed until the carer came at 6pm to help me have a bath.
Went on my computer for a bit, and did my dailies and fished in World of Warcraft. Also did Baradin Hold, so at least I’ve killed a couple of Cataclysm raid bosses now. The guild managed to get Nefarian down because I wasn’t in the group.
Stomach has been dodgy all day and I’ve been feeling really rotten, so will be sleeping again soon. Did buy some penguin egg cups, shoes and book a trip to Leeds though. I’m very good at spending money 😛

Project 365: Day 18: 5th July 2011 – Mockingjay

Mockingjay

Today I woke up late as I’d had a very late night (though I did wake up long enough to tell favourite carer when she arrived that I’d had a late night and wouldn’t be getting up). Spent the day playing World of Warcraft and reading this book. In World of Warcraft I finally managed to get Tyrande’s Favourite Doll through Archaeology. This evening was another night of wiping on Nefarian. Since most of the wipes were due to me, my confidence in raiding has been knocked a lot. Got frustrated at being told by the raid leader that we’re not allowed to do any other raids until Nefarian is dead, as so far all my Cataclysm raiding has consisted of wiping on this stupid dragon because I can’t position myself properly/get enough heals in/manage my mana. Thinking of giving up raiding until I can get my item level to 359, since then I may have enough mana to deal with my mistakes. Went and fished for an hour as well.

The book was good, I think. I’ve read it, but I can’t remember too much about it. It didn’t help that although I’ve read the first two, I couldn’t remember much about them, either. I may technically be able to concentrate well enough to read, but my memory sucks and it makes it a bit frustrating. Also felt really weak today, struggling to transfer between chairs.

I had steak for tea though, and that was yummy Smile

Project 365: Day 17: 4th July 2011 – Independence Day Food

Independence Day Food

I managed to scare Johan this morning by being awake and semi-alert by the time he came downstairs at 9.15am. Favourite carer came this morning and did housework, helped me get dressed and teeth brushed, and then re-did my hair in French plaits so they were tidier (we’ve agreed she’s going to practice on me when she has the time :P).
As it’s their 25th birthday, TGI Fridays had an offer where if you were born in 1986, you could get free food (up to £20 worth) between 1st and 4th July, to also celebrate American Independence Day. I was insistent that I was getting that offer, so today we went there for lunch. I had mozzarella dippers, Jack Daniels ribs and shrimp, and a popcorn brownie sundae. In total for the food I paid 47p 😛 Johan had stuff from their normal food offer, and with drinks it came to just over £20 for the two of us. Not bad at all. The food was delicious, though the shrimp were too spicy for me so I gave them to Johan.
Afterwards we went to the MetroCentre, to get my prescription (they put the wrong one in, so I’m fine for ibuprofen but short on my other meds- whoops), buy books and look for shoes. Didn’t find any shoes, but I did buy a hat and a new bra. I forgot to get the postal order I needed though, so will have to get that tomorrow somehow.
Came home and have been on World of Warcraft. Levelled Elisaveta (Worgan Mage) to level 50. Favourite carer and nicest male carer came and managed to get me ready for bed and do all the kitchen stuff in about 7 minutes. I’m amazed and at how quickly they can do things.

Project 365: Day 16: 3rd July 2011 – World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft

This morning awesome fantastic favourite carer came at 10am but because of the long couple of days I’d had, I wasn’t able to get up. She did tell me she would try and swap to do my bath night (on of my least favourite carers was scheduled to do it) and she went and did stuff in the kitchen while I went back to sleep.

I woke up again at about 1.30pm, and played World of Warcraft. I finished visiting all the Midsummer Fires, and did a couple of heroics, including Zul’Aman with my guild. Unfortunately I caused a wipe in one of the heroics and had a bit of a meltdown because of it, which caused Johan to panic. Calmed down again, and awesome favourite carer came to give me my bath at 6pm. She put my hair into French plaits, which I’ve never had done before so it made me super happy 🙂

This evening I went on my first proper Cataclysm raid (though I’d been in Throne of the Tides before, it didn’t feel like proper raiding because we didn’t kill a boss and I didn’t have to do any proper healing). As it was, we were working on Nefarian, and since I’d signed late and wasn’t in the original group, I wasn’t expecting to go so was completely unprepared 😛

We didn’t manage to get him down, but we did make a lot of progress, making it through to phase 3 most of the later attempts. We should be able to manage it very soon 🙂

Project 365: Day 15: 2nd July 2011 – Platform

Platform

Woke up this morning in the hotel, feeling a bit out of sorts because it wasn’t my normal bed. Our train was due to leave at 12.48pm, so we left the hotel about 11.30am, bought some breakfast and lunch and went to the station. After eating our breakfast (me) and lunch (Johan), we went and told the assistance people that we were there. A nice man with a ramp took us to the right platform, and we waited for a train, people watching while one train being delayed had an effect on another train.

I missed the timing on this photo- a second before it was showing the train as having arrived, when there was a distinct lack of train (it came a minute later). We got on and travelled back to Newcastle. Unfortunately, for some reason our assistance wasn’t booked at Newcastle, so Johan had to go find someone to get a ramp and help me off the train. We got the bus home, then spent the rest of the day relaxing and eating Graze boxes 🙂
