/AFK

Don’t look now, but my cold may be getting a bit better…

Today I took part in the /afk EU event (yes, I actually have a video that’s relevant to the rest of the post!). It was a lot of fun, especially when the group of us (mostly level 1-10) decided to raid the Crossroads (a Horde town). We died, a lot.

We made our way to Onyxia’s Lair in Dustwallow Marsh (and people died because this is a very high level zone to us lowbies), where Aventhor said “Brb, dinner’s ready” and went /afk. This was very amusing, and the end of the event, so I did the same.

Now I’m watching Children in Need on BBC 1. The BBC Newsreaders weren’t too bad 🙂

WTB Greater Heal, will pay 5000g!

My World of Warcraft character currently has 5620 gold, so if someone can give me a (real life) Greater Heal then I will be very grateful, and still have 600 gold left.

I’m still ill, though slightly better than yesterday. I didn’t go to college today, but I am going next Monday, even if Johan has to take me in my pyjamas (I’m rather stubborn). It probably helps though that half my pyjamas consist of t-shirt + plain bottoms, and I’d have to chuck on a pair of trousers as my legs freeze in the wheelchair. Of course, getting dressed before leaving the house will be preferable.

I am worried about the work I’ve missed. Also, because I was sick last night after taking my medication I didn’t absorb all of it, so my head has been really noisy and I’ve been rather emotional today. The emotional bit isn’t helped by feeling so crappy.

I was in World of Warcraft this evening, and we were in Trial of the Crusader. Very easy instance, and I managed to do nearly half the healing most fights. In the middle of it, my GM ticket about stuff was answered, and I got angry- not so much with the GM as with Blizzard, and their completely unfair thinking. My original issue was that in Ironforge, the pre-Cataclysm elemental event was broken, with the rifts during the city invasion not showing up. He told me this would be fixed before the end of the event, so that was good. While I was waiting for the reply, we had an issue where Icehowl in TotC couldn’t be skinned, as the level required has been upped to 470. This isn’t fair, as you can’t get level 470 until Cataclysm, and Icehowl is a Wrath boss (the highest Wrath level is 450, which is what used to be required). Cataclysm isn’t even out yet. The GM said that it was because of the Cataclysm (which hasn’t happened yet, and doesn’t affect Northrend) and it’s not going to be fixed. This is really unfair, and I’m angry. Arg.

Prisoner

Today was a day of doing not very much. I woke up, messed around on my computer, had a bath, napped, played on the computer, raided, and will be going back to bed again in a minute.

Tomorrow I go to Birmingham with my mum. We are going to meet Maggie Kirkpatrick and Glenda Linscott on Sunday, after watching Retrospectively, Rita. We are staying two nights, which will mean missing college on Monday. I’m planning on taking my laptop, and my phone works as a modem (yay custom ROMs :D) so will be able to get online even if the wifi doesn’t work/is too expensive. I’m really looking forward to meeting them as I watched a lot of Prisoner Cell Block H when I was little (there wasn’t much else on at 4am…) and even now am a bit scared of the Freak. I’ve been catching up with some of the episodes and it’s reminded me of why I loved it- over the top storylines that I understand, brilliant characters and big dramatic events. I want to catch up even more now, but with over 600 episodes it may take a while.

I’m not at all ready for going, so will sleep now and get up earlyish tomorrow to get ready.

Deathy is Cute

This is a very short post because I’m still exhausted, and also in a lot of pain and not coping with it.

I made it to college today, and I don’t think I made a fool of myself in Computing. I chatted to my friend Sarah afterwards, got my lunch then attempted to nap in the chill out room (but couldn’t because all I could hear was the table tennis). Then I watched the fencing for a bit then went on my laptop, then came home, buying a hoody on the way.

Since I got home I watched the WoW Insider stream then played Facebook games. I also received my Deathy pet, so I logged into WoW for a few minutes to collect it.

Now I’m about to go to bed. Luckily I’m only in college for Computing tomorrow evening, so plenty of time to sleep and maybe even do my homework. Here’s hoping.
